    Position Summary

    ​The Associate Category Manager, GCR Tires and Service position is responsible for analyzing, developing, executing and reporting tactics that support the strategies developed within the Category Leadership Plans. This role will collaborate with GCR departments, develop KPIs, and maintain category scorecard for specific category responsibilities. This role will use market insights and GCR data to assist in category plans that align with GCR's profitability and unit targets. ​


    ​Reporting and analysis around GP dollars, rate, revenue and units by market and provide insights to the Category Manager product introduction/discontinuation within category
    Interacts with vendor account manager to support category needs (Marketing support, sales support, inventory support)
    Collects, verifies and analyzes data on industry market trends, supplier and consumer behavior and competitor activity to identify market opportunities for the product/service
    Participates in appropriate meeting with vendors to ensure understanding and alignment
    Partners with Operations, Training and Sales to ensure category needs are met
    Assists category manager in category relevant business improvement projects


    ​Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related discipline; MBA preferred

    3-5 years experience in merchandising, supply chain, pricing, marketing or related background
    B2B experience a plus
    Strong analytics reporting (Excel & Tableau) Alteryx a plus
    Self Starter with ability to work highly independently and acts as subject matter expert for specific category
