Safety & Industrial Hygiene Compliance

  • Leads the thorough investigation of all accidents, near misses and incidents.
  • Ensures incident reports are submitted for all accidents.
  • Conducts and/or coordinates all safety related training, including quarterly Kiken Yochi Training Activities.
  • Helps direct and develop facility wide line driven safety and IIP activities, including updating safety communication boards.
  • Coordinates safety compliance with all third-party stakeholders including loading, transportation and security services and other Bridgestone owned entities.
  • Maintains Safety SharePoint site and all safety documentation.
  • Manages the Safety Committee Meeting process and follow-up.
  • Ensures safety audits are completed weekly, monthly, and quarterly.
  • Ensures compliance with OSHA and corporate safety policies.
  • Supports continual safety improvement and 3-S projects. 
  • Quality, Environmental and General Corporate Compliance
  • Controls, updates, maintains, distributes and tracks all documents within the QMS system.
  • Implements and maintains an appropriate record retention system and manages document control compliance.
  • Coordinates and ensures completion of QMS training.
  • Reviews LSCM Quality Policy changes and prepares and distributes revisions as needed.
  • Coordinates Corporate Compliance Audits with third party loading and transportation providers.
  • Supports management in data collection and analysis activities.
  • Acts as the Environmental process coordinator.
  • Maintains QMS website and user permissions within the DC.
  • At those DCs designated as a Business Continuity Site, the Compliance Coordinator acts as the facility liaison.
  • Security and C-TPAT Compliance (Where Applicable
  • Acts as the CTPAT process coordinator.
  • Assists the DC Manager with interaction with the vendor contractor providing Security at the site.
  • Labor Management (LMS) Support (Where Applicable)
  • Monitors, updates and presents productivity metrics to Supervision and Leadership.
  • Assists Operations Manager-Warehouse and DC Manager in the management of the Labor Management System
  • Assists in the closing of loop-holes in the LMS System by working with the Corporate Office to make the necessary adjustments.
  • Provides analytical support for Labor Management as needed. 


  • Supply Chain plus:
  • 2-3 years’ experience in one or more of these areas including DC Operations
  • Verbal and written communication is vital to this position, specifically in carrying out responsibilities pertaining to: audits, QMS, training, etc.
  • Organizational skills are necessary to maintain accurate record keeping in compliance with Safety and Quality requirements and standards.
  • This position is an individual contributor role and does not have any direct reports.
  • Proficiency in Word. PowerPoint, Excel, Access and SharePoint.
